On Saturday, 6. October, the 89th elite auction of the Oldenburger Verband took place in Vechta, Germany. The Oldenburger auctions regularly achieve top knock-down prices often in the order of hundreds of thousands of Euros.
Our colt Cornet Diamante – or Caspar de Quidam (his auction name) – was among the top foals to be auctioned. His father is the famous show-jumping stallion Cornet Obolensky. Other famous names in his pedigree are Diamant de Semilly and Quidam de Revel.
The highest priced horse was the stallion Vivat Rex by Vivaldi - Samarant - Rubinstein I. He was sold for 200.000 Euros to a new owner in the Netherlands. The most expensive foal was Vardy by Vitalis - Florencio I - Feinbrand. For a total of 120.000 Euros this colt was sold to a famous stud in Lower Saxony.
Our colt Cornet obtained high bids but in the end we decided to keep him. You will be hearing from him again soon. Just watch this space! :)
